Edit the sample size calculation for an experiment

Abstract

Describes how to edit the sample size calculation for an experiment in (Sitecore Personalize).

Sitecore Personalize automatically calculates the minimum sample size required to meet statistical significance, based on the chosen primary goal. You can edit the sample size calculation if the experiment has a draft status.

To edit the sample size calculation:

  1. On the Build screen, on the Details tab, click the edit icon next to the Calculation sample size section.

  2. Edit the following fields:

    • Base Rate % - the base or business-as-usual conversion goal. This is set to 2% by default.

    • Minimum detectable difference % - this is the minimum conversion goal difference to detect. This is expressed as a relative percent. This is set to 20% by default.

    • Confidence Level % - the threshold for rejecting the null hypothesis. This is the confidence your organization has that if the null hypothesis is true, the measured difference is not due to random fluctuations. This is set to 95% by default.

  3. Click Save. You return to the Details tab.
