Combine content from multiple components
The Container component is a container for other components. Adding multiple components to a container helps you:
- Structure your page content.
- Combine content from different fields that originate from the same page or data source.
- Change the data source for multiple components at the same time.
To add a Container component and to change the data source:
- In the Pages editor view, drag the Container component from the Components tab in the left-hand panel to the appropriate location of the page canvas.
- Add components to the Container component. For example, Title and Page Content. By default, the components take the data source from the current page. For example, a Title field get the content from the page's title field.
- To change the data source for the components in the Container component, select the first component individually, and in the right-hand panel, on the Content tab, under Content item, click Edit
. - In the Control properties dialog box, in the General section, in the Data Source field, click Browse.
- You can now assign a different content item for the components in the Container component.
