Events Report
The Events Report provides an overview of various event types sent from your website to Sitecore CDP over a selected time period. This includes standard events like VIEW
, ADD
, TRACKING
, and IDENTITY
, as well as any custom events you've set up on your website.
You can use the filters in the Events Report to display data according to the following options:

Time - select a time frame to display data in the report such as last day, last week, last month, last 6 months, or a custom date range. By default, the report shows data from the previous week.
The exact dates and times used for the data currently displayed are indicated as Viewing data for [start date and time] - [end date and time], based on your organization's time zone.

By - select the intervals at which data points are displayed on the graph. You can select a resolution by day, week, or month.

Channel - select a specific channel to view data, for example, Email, Mobile app, or Web. By default, the report shows events data for all channels.

Point of Sale - select a specific point of sale to view data. By default, the report shows data for all points of sale.

Event Type - select a specific standard or custom event to view data. By default, the report shows data for all events captured by CDP from your website.
To update the Events Report based on your selected filters, click Apply. To revert to the default view, click Reset filters.
The data in the Events Report is refreshed every 24 hours. To download the report as a ZIP archive containing CSV files, click the Download icon.
Events metrics
The report shows metrics for all events or specific ones sent to Sitecore CDP over the selected time period. Each tile has a color-coded arrow next to a number - a green up arrow means an increase, while a red down arrow means a decrease. The trend compares the data from the selected time period to the prior time period. For example, selecting last week compares last week's event count to the previous week. So an upward green arrow indicates more events occurred last week compared to the week before. This allows you to quickly see whether event counts are rising or falling over successive periods.

Event Count - shows the count of events across all types recorded from the website over the selected period. The arrow indicates whether the count of all events went up or down compared to the previous time period.

events recorded from the website over the selected period. The arrow indicates whether page views went up or down compared to the previous time period. -
Tracking and Interaction Events - shows the combined count of

Events per Session - shows the average number of events per session recorded from the website over the selected period. This metric is calculated by dividing the event count by the session count. The arrow indicates if the average events per session went up or down compared to the previous period.
Events over Time
The Events over Time graph shows the trend in event count and their distribution among different types, over the selected period. It plots the event count on the vertical axis against time intervals on the horizontal axis.

Click a specific event in the graph's legend to toggle its visibility in the graph. Hidden events will be marked with a strikethrough on their legend labels.

Hover your mouse over any data point in the graph to view its individual value.

To change the time interval displayed in the horizontal axis, use the By filter to select your preferred resolution.
Events Table
This table in the Events Report shows the count of events and sessions, categorized by each event type, over the selected period. It includes columns for event type, event count, session count, and events per session. The last column is calculated by getting the ratio of event count and session count.
To sort a column by name or count, click the column heading.
