Generative insights, or Gensights, is an AI-powered dashboard that analyzes trends, user behavior, and performance metrics from Sitecore CDP dashboards. Using the AI capabilities of Sitecore Stream, it transforms complex data into clear, natural-language summaries to help teams quickly identify the most relevant insights.
Sitecore CDP dashboards are often detailed and contain a wealth of data, making it challenging to identify patterns or areas that need attention. Gensights helps by:

Simplifying data navigation - consolidates complex metrics into easy-to-read information.

Highlighting key findings - surfaces data trends, anomalies, and correlations.

Recommending next steps - provides data-driven suggestions to improve outcomes.
Gensights analyzes CDP data from the previous six weeks, with one exception - segmentation data is analyzed over the previous three months. The dashboard refreshes every Monday after the data lake update. The date for generating the displayed data is shown at the top of the dashboard, based on your organization's time zone.

Gensights is divided into two sections: Insights and Recommendations.
Insights
The Insights section presents five to ten high-level findings from your Sitecore CDP data. This can include areas like session counts and spikes in web traffic, visitor and customer trends, bounce rates, device usage, and traffic sources.
Each insight can include:

An AI-generated summary in plain language.

A link to the original data in the CDP dashboard.

A chart or metric tile visualizing the relevant data.
Users can interact with the visuals directly from the Gensights dashboard. There is no need to navigate to other dashboards. In the following example, a spike in web sessions is highlighted, along with a corresponding rise in new visitors. These trends are visualized and explained in context.

Recommendations
The Recommendations section translates insights into five AI-generated, actionable strategies to improve customer engagement and digital performance.

Some examples of recommendations are:

Identifying and nurturing new leads using Sitecore CDP.

Optimizing email content with Sitecore Send.

Detecting suspicious behavior using segmentation and rules.

Automating campaigns with Sitecore Connect.
When relevant, recommendations include steps for implementation using the appropriate Sitecore applications.
