Add a table to a page

With the page builder, you can add a table in a Rich Text component.

Note

To enable the latest rich text editing capabilities, such as adding a table to a Rich Text component, a developer needs to upgrade your environment to JSS 21.5.2 or later, and you need to add PAGES_ENABLE_NEW_RTE_EDITOR as a new environment variable in the Deploy app.

To add a table to a webpage:

  1. In the page builder Editor mode, in the Site tree, click the page you want to add a table to.

  2. On the Components tab, click on a Rich Text component and drag it to the canvas of the webpage.

  3. Click in the component to make the text editor toolbar appear, then click Insert table .

  4. Drag the cursor over the template table to highlight the number of rows and columns that you want.

  5. Use the table toolbar to perform additional formatting of the table.

The configuration settings available for tables are:

  • Add header column and rows.

  • Insert, delete, or select a column or a row.

  • Merge or split cells.

  • Edit cell properties like borders, background, dimensions, and text alignment.

  • Edit table properties like borders, background, dimensions, and table alignment.
