View signals

Note
  • Early access - this feature is currently available only to select Sitecore organizations. Reach out to your account or partner manager if you'd like to take part or want to learn more about Scrunch.
  • Connect to Scrunch - before you can work with signals, make sure your SitecoreAI CMS environment is connected to Scrunch. The connection is live if a Signals widget appears on your site's Strategy page in SitecoreAI.

Signals highlight meaningful changes in your brand's visibility across AI platforms. Use the Signals page to review the changes that matter most and narrow the list by status, time period, competitor, or topic.

Find signals

To view signals for your site:

  1. In SitecoreAI, click Strategy, then scroll to the Signals widget.
The Signals widget on the SitecoreAI Strategy page, showing signal cards with topic label, headline, pp change, and Act on this button.
  2. Click View all signals. The Signals page opens with the list of available signals.

Understand signal order

Signals are ordered by Scrunch's impact score. The impact score measures how much a change matters, not how recent it is. The score weighs the topic's importance, the competitive context, the severity of the metric change, whether it appears across multiple platforms, and the importance of the entity involved.

Confidence is assessed separately, so a signal lower in the list can still be a high-confidence one.

What a signal card shows

On the Signals page, each signal card summarizes a detected change:

Each signal on the Signals page card shows a topic, date, headline, pp change, opportunities, and AI platform.

It includes the following:

  • Headline - a summary of what changed, including the AI platform and the magnitude of the shift.
  • Date - when the change was detected.
  • pp change - how much the metric shifted, in percentage points.
  • Opportunities - the number of pages with available content updates.
  • AI platform - which AI tool the change was observed on.

Filter signals

Use the tabs to filter what signals you see on the Signals page:

  • Needs you - signals where your brand is falling behind and you can take action.
  • Winning - signals where your brand is outperforming competitors. Winning signals don't require action, but you can view the details by clicking View this.
  • Everything - all signals.
Note

Not every Scrunch signal appears in SitecoreAI. Signals are filtered to those with specific pages associated with the change, so the Everything tab may show fewer signals than expected.

You can also use the Any time, All rivals, and All topics filters to narrow the list further by time period, competitor, or topic.

To load more signals, click Show more or Show all at the bottom of the page.

When you find a signal you want to investigate further, see act on signals.
