Create an audience with AI Assistant

IMPORTANT

Feature availability is part of a phased rollout. Your organization may not see this functionality yet. It will become available when your environment is included in the rollout.

In Audience builder, you can use AI Assistant to create an audience from a natural-language description.

Describe the profiles you want to include, and AI Assistant generates the audience rules using the relevant profile, session, event, or trait attributes. This can make it quicker to get started, especially for audiences that would otherwise require several rules. You can then review and refine the generated rules.

If you prefer to select attributes and configure the rules yourself, see Create an audience manually.

Before you begin

Identify the profile group you want to include and the characteristics or behaviors that define it. This will help you describe the audience clearly to Code Assistant.

To create an audience with AI Assistant:

  1. In the navigation menu, click Performance.

  2. In the left-hand pane, select Audiences.

  3. On the Audiences page, click Create audience.

  4. In the Create audience dialog, enter a descriptive name for the audience.

  5. Click Create.

Audience builder opens with a new empty audience in Draft status. The Chat tab is displayed in the right pane by default.

  6. Do one of the following:

    • Enter a prompt describing the audience you want to create.

    • Select one of the suggested prompts.

Be specific about the characteristics, behaviors, and time periods that define the audience.

      For example:

Identified profiles from Europe who submitted a form within the last 3 months.

  7. Submit the prompt.

AI Assistant analyzes the description and generates audience rules using the relevant attributes and conditions.

For example, the prompt above can generate rules for:

    • identified profiles
    • sessions in Europe
    • form submission events within the last three months

The generated rules appear in the Audience Rules workspace.

  8. Review the generated rules to make sure they represent the audience you intended.

  9. If needed, refine the audience in either of the following ways:

    • Edit the generated rules manually in the Audience Rules workspace.
    • Use the Chat pane to ask AI Assistant to modify or refine the rules.
