Page insights dashboard in Analyze

In the page builder Analyze mode, you can access Page insights to view the analytics data for a specific page, or compare metrics between a page and one of its variants.

Access page insights in Analyze

To view page insights in the page builder Analyze mode:

  1. Open the page builder, and in the side toolbar, click the Analyze tab.

  2. In the global toolbar, select the site and language of the website for which you want to access the analytics data.

  3. In the Time filter, select the time period for which you want to see data.

When you have specified a time period, the dashboard is refreshed by loading the data for that specific time period. After this, the data is refreshed every minute.

  4. On the Page insights tab, browse the Site tree and click the page for which you want to see analytics.

  5. To see analytics for a particular variant of the page, click on the variant name in the drop-down menu to the left.

  6. To compare data between two variants, click Add page variant and click on another variant name in the drop-down menu to the right.

When comparing two pages variants, the data is shown using side-by-side graphs for easier comparison.

Page engagement metrics

The Page insights dashboard provides metrics that help you track page traffic, engagement, and audience behavior:

Tip

The dashboard displays totals and trends so you can compare performance with the previous period. Color coding helps highlight changes—for example, a red number under Visitors means a decrease in visitors on the page.

  • Visitors - the number of individuals who visited your page one or more times during the selected time period.

  • Average page views per session - the average number of pages viewed by a visitor during one session.

  • Views - the total number of page views, recorded each time a visitor loads or refreshes a page.

  • Visits (chart) - the number of active and closed visits that occurred on your page during the selected time range, along with a trend comparison to the previous period. Hover over a data point to see details.

    Note

This time series includes active and closed visits over time. It’s not possible to sum these values for a total number of visits, as visits lasting more than an hour would be double-counted.

  • Visits by time of day (heatmap) - the sum of closed visits (no longer active) per hour and day of the week displayed as a heatmap. Darker colors represent higher visit counts. Hover over a square to see specific data.

    Note

The heatmap includes only sessions that closed within the selected time period.

  • Variant views - the number of views for the top five variants of the page within the selected time frame.

  • Top countries - the top five countries from which a visit originated and their proportion.

    Note

Country data is based on IP addresses and may be inaccurate when visitors use VPNs.

  • Source (graph) - the percentage of visits by source. The source is determined by referrer data—the last web address a visitor accessed before arriving on your page (for example, google.com if they came from a Google search.

  • Browser - the top five browsers used to access your page and their proportion.

  • Operating system - the operating systems that were used to access your page.
