Create a Gmail annotation

Sitecore Send let's you add a Gmail annotation for the Gmail Promotions tab. This way you can highlight your email messages in the Gmail Promotions tab by adding key information.

To add the Gmail annotation:

  1. Open the campaign

  2. On the Design page, click Go to editor.

  3. In the left pane of the editor, click the Settings tab.

  4. Expand Gmail annotation and turn on the Active switch.

  5. Fill out the following fields:

    • Google Promotion Settings - turn on the Active switch to enable the setting.

      Note

Enabling this setting does not necessarily mean that your annotation always appears in the Gmail Promotion tab. Gmail uses a complicated algorithm to show annotations.

    • Featured image - click Select to upload an image for your annotation. You can use the image picker to upload an image from your computer, or directly from various other sources, such as Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, and so on.

    • Logo - click Select to upload the image that appears as the sender's logo. You can upload an image from your computer, or directly from various other sources, such as Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, and and so on.

    • Description - enter a description. If you added a product to your design and selected to use it for the Gmail Promotions tab, the description is auto filled with the product's title.

    • Discount Code - enter the code that goes with your offer.

    • Expiration date - set an expiration date for the offer in your annotation.

    • Preview - in the top menu, click the Preview mode and then below that, click Google to preview your annotation.
