Enable projects for a definition

To use a certain entity definition type within projects, you must enable the projects functionality on this definition.

Enabling projects for an entity definition:

  • Extends the entity definition with the relations and properties required for use with projects.

  • Creates a basic detail page that shows all member groups except System.

  • Extends the default project detail page with the entity-related information.

  • Extends the Search, Creation, and Selection components of the Block (item) detail pages to enable search and selection on the definition.

Important

To enable an entity definition for projects, the definition must have a unique Label and a Display template set.

To enable projects for a definition:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage cog icon.

  2. On the Manage page, click Schema.

  3. On the Schema page, click the entity definition you want.

  4. On the entity definition page, click Actions More action s icon and then click Enable/Disable.

  5. In the Enable/Disable dialog, turn on the Projects switch.

  6. Click Done.

Important

Enabling projects for a definition does not affect role-based security for that definition. Security role templates can be manually extended, but this might affect system performance.
