AI-assisted metadata enrichment
AI capabilities in Content Hub need to be enabled and, if necessary, configured by a superuser or a user with the necessary permissions granted to them through user group policies.
To use AI-assisted capabilities, you must have a Stream subscription and, for some features, be a Stream Premium user. Contact your Account Manager for more information.
Metadata enrichment is an AI-driven feature in Sitecore Content Hub that reduces manual effort by simplifying workflows and improves:

Discoverability - making assets easier to categorize and find by suggesting tags and taxonomy values, ensuring consistency and relevance.

Accessibility - ensuring assets are accessible with the generation of descriptive alt text and relevant metadata.
Before using AI-assisted metadata enrichment, you need to:

Add the Enrich with AI operation to the asset details page and specify which AI profile to use.
To use your own AI service, you will also need to create a connector and update the necessary scripts.
When you use the Sitecore AI connector, you can't configure image filter thresholds (for example, what determines an AI image policy violation). If you need to configure these thresholds, use your own AI service.
In the following example, metadata enrichment was enabled for the taxonomy Season. This means that the metadata enrichment feature not only suggests general image tags but also provides suggestions for the Season taxonomy.
Images and vectors are supported and must have a preview rendition.
Discoverability
The Metadata enrichment feature in Sitecore Content Hub uses AI to suggest metadata tags for your image assets that are relevant, consistent, and specific to your organization's taxonomies and requirements. When you have accurate metadata tags, images are easier to classify and to find. Using AI reduces the manual effort required to create image metadata and improves asset discoverability.
Accessibility
Furthermore, you can use this AI feature to generate alt text for image assets, which greatly improves search engine optimization (SEO) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) compliance. Having a high SEO rating helps users find assets, drives traffic to your site, and improves the user experience while WCAG compliance makes your content more accessible. To improve workflows and reduce the time required to study images and compose alt text, you can automatically generate alt text for a single asset, multiple assets, or alt text can be added when assets are uploaded. AI-generated alt text can be kept as is or edited for improvements.
