AI capabilities in Content Hub need to be enabled and, if necessary, configured by a superuser or a user with the necessary permissions granted to them through user group policies. Most AI capabilities require Sitecore Stream.

AI features in Content Hub, including AI-assisted visual search, are Sitecore Stream capabilities.
This could be due to how you have worded your search query. The AI-assisted visual search brings up more accurate results when you provide a detailed description of what you are looking for. See Best practices - Using visual search.
When an image is uploaded for visual search, the AI service converts a representation of the image to a vector. This vector consists of a list of numbers that represent the visual characteristics of the image and is stored in ElasticSearch. This enables two types of searches:

Image-to-image search, where a query image is converted in a vector and compared to vectors that are stored to find visually similar images.

Text-to-image search, where a text query (such as sunset over mountains) is converted to a vector and used to find images that match the concept.
