Configure the Search component

Note

To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.

For News items to be published on a page, you must configure a Search component:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage cog icon.

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

  3. On the Pages page, select the page you want to configure.

  4. If the page is blank, add a Title component.

  5. Add a Search component and then click it.

  6. On the component's details page, on the Filters tab, add the News item definition as a filter.

  7. Click Save.

  8. On the Output tab, turn on the Inline preview and Grid switches.

  9. Select Inline preview and then, under Template, select your preferred template.

  10. Under Fields, click plus sign and fill in the following fields:

    Field name

    Value

    Field

    Title (NewsItemTitle)

    Display format

    Text

  11. Click Save.

  12. Click plus sign again and fill in the following fields:

    Field name

    Value

    Field

    Description (NewsItemDescription)

    Display format

    HTML

  13. Click Save.

  14. Select Grid and then, under Grid Settings, select which Grid sizes to make available to users. Change the Default grid size if needed.

  15. Under Template, select your preferred template.

  16. Under Main click area, click Add operation and then click Inline preview.

  17. Under Fields, click plus sign and fill in the following fields:

    Field name

    Value

    Field

    Title (NewsItemTitle)

    Display format

    Text

  18. Click Save.

  19. Click Save and close.
