Enable collections for a definition


To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.

To create collections of a certain entity definition type, you must enable the collections functionality for that definition.

Enabling collections for an entity definition:

  • Extends the entity definition with the relations and properties required for use with collections.

  • Updates the CollectionSetting with the definition name and the new relation name.

  • Updates the Search, Details, and Selection components used on the collection detail page.

  • Updates the Search and Details components used by the Creation component on the collection detail page.

To enable collections for a definition:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage cog icon.

  2. On the Manage page, click Schema.

  3. On the Schema page, click the entity definition you want.

  4. On the entity definition page, click Actions and then click Enable/Disable.

  5. In the Enable/Disable dialog box, turn on the Collections switch.

  6. To enable access to the detail page for this collection, enter the name of that page in the Detail page name field.

  7. Click Confirm.

  8. Click Done.
