Search for similar images

Being able to search for visually similar images is useful, for example, if:

  • You're working on a new campaign and want to find similar images to one used in an existing campaign.

  • You've seen an image and you want to find something similar in the Content Hub asset repository.

The search criteria for visually similar images can be determined by:

  • A reference image - find images in Content Hub that are visually similar to an existing image of your choosing.

  • A color - find images that contain the highest concentration of a specific color.

  • A text description - find images by describing in words what you are looking for.

  • An existing Content Hub image - find images that are similar to an existing Content Hub image asset.

Note

These search criteria cannot be combined with one another, but you can use them with other facets, such as market or brand.

When you search based on an uploaded image, a color, or a description, your search criteria are added to the list of applied filters, as shown in the following example.

Applied filters displayed on the Assets page

To search for similar images:

  1. On the menu bar, click Assets.

  2. On the Assets page, click AI and do any of the following:

    • To use a search string, in the AI search box, enter a simple description of the image you are looking for and click Search .

    • To upload a reference image and search for images that are visually similar, click Search for image , navigate to the folder where the image is saved, select it, and click Open.

    • To search for images by color, click Search by color and, in the drop-down list, click a color.

    • To search for images that are similar to an existing Content Hub asset, click View similar assets or select an asset and, in the upper-right corner of the application window, click View similar assets . You can only use one asset at a time for this type of search, so the icon will not be visible if more than one asset is selected.

Note

AI-assisted visual search supports .jpg, .jpeg, and .png images. Reference images up to 20 MB are supported.
