Add dimension values

Sitecore Connect for Microsoft D365 Commerce - Content Hub supports the color, style, and size dimensions available in D365. To add dimension values, you add a new color option within the DVC taxonomy in Sitecore Content Hub.

To add dimension values:

  1. Log in to the Finance and Operations portal for your D365 environment.

  2. On the dashboard page, click Expand the navigation pane.

  3. In the left navigation pane, click Modules and then click Product information management.

  4. In the expanded Product information management pane, click Setup and then click Dimension and variant groups.

  5. Click Colors.

  6. To create a new row, in the Colors list view, click New.

  7. In the new row, enter the color you want to add.

  8. Click Save.

  9. Repeat steps 2-8 to create new values for additional colors, as well as for adding styles and sizes.

  10. Review your list of available colors.

    After you create the new dimension values in D365 and Dataverse, you can check these values in Content Hub.

To verify dimension values in Content Hub:

  1. Log into your Content Hub application.

  2. On the menu bar, click Manage.

  3. On the Manage page, click Taxonomy.

  4. In the search box, enter DVC.Color and select it.

  5. On the DVC.Color Taxonomy management page, review the list of available colors. The new color dimension values are now available in Content Hub.

  6. Repeat steps 3-5 for DVC.Style and DVC.Sizes.
