Create taxonomies for color, style, and size
To map variant dimension data to products synchronized with the connector, you need to create three taxonomy definitions to store Color, Style, and Size options to associate with product variants during synchronization.
Color
To create a taxonomy for color:

On the menu bar, click Manage.

On the Manage page, click Taxonomy.

Click New taxonomy and, in the New taxonomy dialog box, do the following:

In the Name field, enter DVC.Color.
-
Accept the default setting for the Allow manual sorting switch (inactive).

In the Label (English) field, enter Product color.
-
-
Click Create.
-
On the Product color taxonomy detail page, click Show definition.
-
On the DVC.Color page, click New Group.
-
In the New member group dialog box, do the following:

In the Name field, enter D365Commerce.
-
In the Label field, enter D365 Commerce.
-
-
Click Save.
-
Optionally, move the D365 Commerce group to the bottom of the member group list.
To add the D365EntityId string-property member to the D365 Commerce group:

With the D365 Commerce group selected in the left pane, click New member.

In the New member dialog box, next to PROPERTY, click Select.
-
From the data type list, select String and click Next.

In the New member dialog box, on the General Information tab, do the following:

In the Name field, enter D365EntityId.

In the Label (English) field, enter D365 Entity ID.
-
Ensure the Multilanguage switch is inactive (Off).
-
Ensure the Unique switch is inactive (Off).
-
Click the Include in content switch to make it active (On).
-
Ensure the Include in autocomplete switch is inactive (Off).
-
Ensure the Allow Updates switch is inactive (Off).
-
Ensure the Boost switch is inactive (Off).
-
Ensure the Secured switch is inactive (Off). [!NOTE] While it is not necessary for the connector to operate, this field is sensitive to sync operations. As a result, consider securing it once the connector security group is created.

From the Content type list, select Single line.

Click Save.

Repeat steps 1-5 to add the following member.

Style
To create a taxonomy for style:

Create a new taxonomy using the following values:

Product style

On the Product Style taxonomy detail page, click Show definition.

On the DVC.Style page, click New Group.

In the New member group dialog box, do the following:

In the Name field, enter D365Commerce.

In the Label field, enter D365 Commerce.

Click Save.

Optionally, move the D365 Commerce group to the bottom of the member group list.

Add members to the D365 Commerce group using the following values:

To create a taxonomy for size:

Create a new taxonomy using the following values:

Product size

On the Product size taxonomy detail page, click Show definition.

On the DVC.Size page, click New Group.

In the New member group dialog box, do the following:

In the Name field, enter D365Commerce.

In the Label field, enter D365 Commerce.

Click Save.

Optionally, move the D365 Commerce group to the bottom of the member group list.
