Note

To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.

You can edit templates and then use them to send email notifications. You can include dynamic information in the subject or body of an email by adding one or more pre-defined variables or dynamic fields to the template.

Important

Editing the body of an email template requires an understanding of HTML. Mistakes when formatting this HTML can cause resulting emails to appear incorrectly, or fail to send.

To edit an email template:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage cog icon.

  2. On the Manage page, click Email templates.

  3. Next to the email template you want to modify, click Edit Edit icon.

  4. On the Info tab, fill out the following fields:

    Field

    Description

    Description

    Purpose of the email template.

    Subject

Single-line subject assigned to emails produced from this template. You can enter any text required here, and insert variables at your cursor position by clicking their name in the Variables list.

  5. On the Email body tab, you can make changes to the HTML that defines the body of all emails based on this template. To include a variable here, place your cursor where you want it and then click the relevant name in the Variables list. You can also use dynamic fields.

  6. To preview the email, in the Email body tab, click Preview.

  7. Click Save.
