Import option lists

Note

To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.

You can import one or more option lists onto a blank page in Sitecore Content Hub.

Before you begin
  • Ensure you have either a blank page or an existing page suitable for exporting data. This page must include a Creation component.

  • Ensure you have an Excel spreadsheet called OptionLists, with no space between Option and Lists, containing at least the following columns:

  • Name

  • Identifier

  • Label

This walkthrough describes how to:

Configure the Creation component

To configure the Creation component:

  1. On the component’s details page, turn on the Import Excel switch.

  2. In the right-hand pane, turn on the Enable migration mode switch.

  3. Click Save and close.

Import the option lists

To import the option lists:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage cog icon.

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

    • Drag and drop the files you want to upload.

    • Browse to and open the files you want to upload.

You can also import option lists with hierarchical values. In this case, the option list has two levels: ParentIdentifier, which is the parent entity; and ChildIdentifier, which is the child entity.

Tip

You can include multiple languages when importing option lists. The language label used for each column is the Path value auto-generated from the Culture field. You can see this value when you click the desired language in Portal languages.
