Set a project as a template

You can use any project as a template in order to speed up the creation process.

Note

If you are using a multi-stage project as a template, we recommend that it uses stages without start dates. If a stage has a start date in a template, then that date is used for that stage in the project, regardless of the start date for the project itself. Similarly, if a milestone has a date in a template, then that date is used for that milestone in the project, regardless of the start date of the project.

To set a project as a template:

  1. On the menu bar, click Project > Projects.
  2. On the Projects page, click the project you want to set as a template.
  3. On the project details page, on the Details tab, in the Template section, click Edit .
  4. Next to the Is template field, click Add .
  5. In the Is template dialog, select the Yes check box, and click OK.
  6. Next to the Template title, click Save.
