Add assets to collections

After you create a collection, you can add assets to it using either the Collections page or the asset details page.

Note

Adding assets to a collection creates symbolic links between the assets and the collection entity.

Important

If you add restricted assets to a collection and make it public, the restricted assets are not shared.

Add assets from the Collections page

The collection details page contains associated metadata, assets, and operations that you can use to collaborate with other users.

To add assets from the Collections page:

  1. On the menu bar, click Collections, then click the collection you want to access.

  2. On the Content tab of the collection details page, click add icon Add, then select add icon Add existing items.

  3. In the Add existing items dialog, select the assets you want to add to the collection.

  4. Click Add.

To copy assets from the clipboard to a collection:

  1. On the menu bar, click Collections, then click the collection you want to access.

  2. On the Content tab of the collection details page, click add icon Add, then select Paste from clipboard clipboard paste icon.

Add assets from the asset details page

To add assets from the asset details page:

  1. On the menu bar, click Assets.

  2. On the Assets page, do one of the following:

    • To add a single asset, click the asset and then, on the asset details page, click more actions icon and select Add to collection add to collection.

    • To add multiple assets, select the assets you want, then click more actions icon and select Add to collection add to collection.

  3. On the Collection dialog, do one of the following:

    • Search for a collection.

    • Select a collection from the list.

    • Click plus sign Create new and create a new collection by filling in the following fields:

      Name

      Name of the new collection.

      Collection type

      Type of collection, such as campaign, event, or product.

      Yes

      Description

      Description of the new collection.

      No

  4. Click Save.
