Example - add a mapping to a dynamic frame

In this example, you add a mapping to a dynamic frame. Doing this automatically fills in template variables with metadata from the asset chosen to be inserted in the frame. For example, if an asset has a relation to a brand, you could change the brand name variable automatically by inserting an asset in a frame.

Note

You can add multiple mappings to the same dynamic frame.

To add a mapping to a dynamic frame:

  1. On the menu bar, click Publisher > Templates.

  2. On the Templates page, click the template you want to modify.

  3. On the template details page, on the Dynamic frames tab, click plus sign Dynamic frame.

  4. In the Dynamic frame dialog, in the Frame drop-down list, click an option.

  5. On the Mappings tab, click Add mapping.

  6. Set the Source relation field to Brands, the Store property field to Name, and the In Template value field to Brand.

    Note

If you don't select a source relation, the template value will be filled with metadata from the asset itself.

  7. Click Save
