Example - adding the Generate PDF operation

Note

To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.

After creating the Print template entity and the Print entity generation action, you add the Generate PDF operation.

In this example, you add the operation to the Entity operations component of the Content detail page:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage cog icon.

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

  3. On the Content detail page, in the Entity operations component, ensure custom settings are enabled by clicking Custom settings enabled.

  4. On the EntityOperations component page, click Add operation and select Generate PDF.

  5. In the Generate PDF section, next to Action, click plus sign Add and add the CMPRecipePrint action created in the previous section.

  6. Turn on the Disable button after click switch.

  7. For the downloads to be of higher quality, turn on the High-resolution switch.

  8. Click Save.

For the high-resolution download to work, the asset.json file in the print template package should also include:

RequestResponse

"highRes": {
        "property": "Renditions",
        "rendition": "thumbnail"
        }
