Exclude a taxonomy from being published

Note

To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.

If you enable content publishing in your Sitecore Content Hub instance, taxonomy definitions and entities are automatically published to the delivery platform whenever you create a new taxonomy. If you don't want to publish a specific taxonomy, you can prevent it from being published.

To exclude a taxonomy from being published:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage cog icon.

  2. On the Manage page, click Taxonomy.

  3. On the Taxonomy page, click the heading for the taxonomy you want to exclude. On the Taxonomy Management page, an icon next to the taxonomy indicates the publishing status as follows:

    • Not published icon - publishing is disabled in the delivery platform and the taxonomy is unpublished.

    • Enabled for publishing icon - publishing is enabled in the delivery platform and the taxonomy is published with conditions.

    • Enabled for publishing icon - publishing is enabled in the delivery platform and the taxonomy is published without conditions.

  4. In the top right, click Show definition.

  5. Click Delivery platform settings.

  6. In the Delivery platform settings dialog box, turn off the Enable in delivery platform switch and click Done.

  7. Click Apply changes.
