Localize
Sitecore Content Marketing Platform (CMP) records the content item associations, so the original item shows localized versions created from it, and the localized version shows the content item it originates from. Note that you do not create new content, just a new version associated with the original.
You can use the Localize feature to adapt content or campaigns to a specific locale.
Localize content
To localize content:
-
On the menu bar, click Content and select Search.
-
On the Search page, search for the desired content item and click it.
-
On the content details page, click More actions > Localize .
-
In the Localize dialog:
-
In the Name field, enter a name for the localization (for example, Fruitful Summer (fr-FR)).
-
Next to the Localization field, click Add + and select the language for the localized content (for example, fr-FR).
-
-
Click Save.
Localize campaigns
A localized version is a duplicate of the original, the only difference being the localization metadata. You can rename the localized campaign to avoid confusion with the original campaign. While this localizes the content of the child campaign, the content of the original campaign remains the same.
To localize a campaign:
-
On the menu bar, click Content and select Campaigns.
-
On the Campaigns page, search for a campaign and click it.
-
On the campaign details page, click More actions > Localize .
-
From the list of options, select the desired localization option.
-
Click Save.
This creates a localized version. An icon at the bottom-left corner of the localized campaign thumbnail shows that it is a localized variant:
