Create the D365 Connector parent and child pages

With Sitecore Connect for Microsoft D365 Commerce - Content Hub, you create the parent page, and then you create the child pages. In the following procedures, you set up two example pages - one page that is a non-visible parent page and the child asset search page.

After you create the parent and child pages, you need to create the page layout and customize the Search component.

Create the parent search page

To create the parent search page:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage.

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

  3. In the left pane, click + Page.

  4. In the Page dialog box, do the following:

    • In the Name field, enter Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce connector.

    • From the Page type list, select Blank page.

    • From the Master layout list, select No navigation.

  5. Click Add. This page serves as the parent to the asset search page that you configure in D365 Commerce.

  6. Click the Info tab.

  7. In the General section, update the settings as follows:

    • Path - d365conn

    • Visible - Off

    • Appears in sitemap - Off

    • Viewable page - Off

    • Back button behavior - Hidden

  8. Click Save. The Info section is updated. In this example, the page Path is shortened since there is no need to view the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce connector page.

Create a child asset search page

To create a child asset search page:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage.

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

  3. In the left pane, next to the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce connector page you just created, click More actions More actions icon > Add subpage.

  4. In the Page dialog box, do the following:

    • In the Name field, enter Available Assets.

    • From the Page type list, select Blank page.

    • From the Master layout list, select No navigation.

    Warning

This setting is critical because users should not navigate Content Hub while browsing assets with the Sitecore Connect for Microsoft D365 Commerce - Content Hub connector.

  5. Click Add.

  6. On the available assets page, click the Info tab and then click Edit.

  7. Make the following changes:

    • Click the Appears in sitemap switch to make it inactive (Off).

    • Click the Is Template switch to make it active (On).

      Tip

Making this a template accelerates any new pages you create.

  8. From the Back button behavior list, select Hidden.

  9. Click Save. The Info tab is updated as shown in the following example.
