Add a rights profile to a contract
To add a rights profile to a digital rights management (DRM) contract, you can either create a new profile or link an existing one.
Create a new rights profile
To create a new rights profile:

On the menu bar, click DRM > DRM contracts.

On the DRM contracts page, click the DRM contract that you want to add a rights profile to.

On the contract details page, on the Rights profiles tab, click Create new.

In the Create dialog, fill out the following fields:
Field Description Mandatory Name Name of the rights profile. No Start Start date of the rights profile. No Time type Time after which the rights profile expires. The following option are available: - Duration
- Expiration date
- Perpetual
Yes Territories Territories where usage of the asset is allowed. Yes Media Media types in which usage of the asset is allowed. Yes Year of copyright Established year of the rights profile copyright. No Adaptation rights Description of adaptation rights for the rights profile. No Rights notes Any further information about the rights profile. No -
Click Save.
Tip
You can also restrict an asset from the Rights tab of the asset details page.
Link existing rights profiles
To link existing rights profiles:
- On the menu bar, click DRM > DRM contracts.
- On the DRM contracts page, click the DRM contract that you want to add rights profiles to.
- On the contract details page, on the Rights profiles tab, click Link existing.
- In the Create dialog, do one of the following:
- In the Rights profiles box, enter a search term, select the profile or profiles you want from the results, and then click Save.
- In the Create dialog, click , search or directly select the rights profiles you want in the Rights profiles dialog, click OK, and then click Save.
Remove rights profiles from a contract
To remove rights profiles from a contract:
- On the menu bar, click DRM > DRM contracts.
- On the DRM contracts page, click the DRM contract that you want to remove rights profiles from.
- On the contract details page, on the Rights profiles tab, click Link existing.
- In the Create dialog, click X next to the rights profile you want to remove and click Save.
