Manage brief type fields

After you create a brief type, you can add fields, remove fields, and reorder fields.

Add a brief type field

Each field you add to a brief type defines a piece of information that marketers must provide or select when creating a brief based on that type.

When you add a brief type field, it is added to all briefs that use the brief type.

To add a brief type field:

  1. On the menu bar, click Content Ops.

  2. On the Content Operations page, in the left pane, click Brief types.

  3. On the Brief types page, click the title of the brief type to which you want to add a field to open its details page.

  4. In the Field types pane, drag one of the following field types onto the page or click Add next to it.

    Field typePurpose
    Short textTo allow input of short, unformatted text. The marketer can add text manually or with help of the AI Assistant.
    Rich textTo allow input of formatted text withoptional formatting and other features including hyperlinks. The marketer can add text manually or with help of the AI Assistant.
    BooleanTo provide exactly two options, such as the true or false states of a check box.
    BudgetTo specify the allocated budget and currency for the campaign.
    TimelineTo indicate and organize key milestones. The marketer can create a timeline manually or with help of the AI Assistant.
    Date and timeTo allow selection of a date and time with a specialized interface. The marketer can create a timeline of milestones manually or with help of the AI Assistant.
    ReferencesTo attach supporting documents and images to the brief.
    SelectAdds a Select field that allows selection of taxonomy values from the associated taxonomy.
  5. Click the down arrow to expand the field type and, on the Settings tab, in the Name field, enter a name for the field. By default, the ID field is assigned a value based on the name you entered.

  6. Depending on the type of field chosen, configure the remaining settings and options:

    LabelDefine a display label for the field.
    NameDefine a name for the field. The name must be alphanumeric with no spaces or special characters.
    Help textText to describe the field or provide guidance on its use. This text displays beneath the field name.
    SourceThe source of taxonomies. Currently, Content Hub is the only option.
    TaxonomyThe taxonomy that provides the list of selectable values for the Select field.

    AI assistance

    FieldDescription
    Human input requiredSelect whether this field requires human input when creating a brief using the Brand Assistant. It has no effect when you create a brief manually.
    AI intentSpecify a prompt that describes what you want to generate for text fields, for example, Generate two bullet lists with section headers.
  7. Click Save.

Remove a brief type field

After you add a field to a brief type, you might decide that it is no longer needed and, as such, you can remove it.

Important

Removing a brief type field removes the field from all briefs that use it.

To remove a brief type field:

  1. On the brief type details page, next to the field you want to delete, click Delete .
  2. Click Delete to confirm the deletion.

Reorder a brief type field

After you add a field to a brief type, you can reorder it as required.

To reorder a brief type field:

  • On the brief type details page, click , and drag the field to its new location in the list.
