Send an asset to DAM
The Send to DAM operation lets you send entities from the projects page to Sitecore Digital Asset Management (DAM), simplifying the approval workflow and ensuring efficient management of assets across platforms. When you send a project asset to DAM, the file is considered a DAM asset but it is still available in the initial project.
If any of the assets you want to send have not already been added to the project, you can add them during this procedure.
To send an asset to DAM:

On the menu bar, click Project > Projects.

On the Projects page, click the desired project.

On the project details page, do one of the following:

Add new files by clicking
Add, then clicking Upload files, Select files, and then selecting or dragging and dropping the files you want to upload. -
Use previously uploaded files.

Select the files and click Send to DAM
. -
In the Send to DAM dialog, click OK. If you've sent files that were previously uploaded, their status will change to PUBLISHED IN DAM and the process is complete. If you've uploaded new files, their status will be IN DAM CREATION and you will need to complete the rest of this procedure.

On the menu bar, click Create.

On the Create page, click View project assets.

On the Project incoming page, do one of the following:

Click Direct publish
to immediately approve and publish the assets. -
Click Submit for approval
to send the assets for approval elsewhere.
When the new assets are approved, their status will change to PUBLISHED IN DAM.
