Add a general member
General members define the metadata associated with all content types. A Strategy member is a special type of general member that defines the metadata sections of content detail pages for all content types. Members added to the General section appear on the General tab of the content details page. Members added to the Strategy section appear on the Strategy tab of the content details page.
To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.
To add either a General or a Strategy member:

On the menu bar, click Manage

On the Manage page, click Content types.

On the Content types page, click the content type you want, then click General members.

On the General members page, click either General or Strategy, then click Add member.

In the Add member dialog, click one of the following member types:
Member type
Description
Boolean
Has two possible values (true or false).
Datetime
Contains Year-Month-Date-Time and can be shown in a readable format (for example, Apr 15, 2022).
Datetime offset
A specific datetime with a custom offset. The first time this field is accessed for a particular item of content, it defaults to the current date and time with a +1 hour offset.
Decimal
A decimal number, such as 1.0, 3.5, or 5.2.
Integer
A whole number, such as 1, 16, or 1024.
Long
A whole number, but can be much larger than an integer.
Option list
A list of selectable options. See step 6.
Taxonomy
A hierarchical arrangement of entities, such as a parent-child tree.
Single-line text
A single-line field for short text, such as titles or names.
Multiline text
A multi-line field for text, such as descriptions.
Rich text
A rich text field with formatting, asset embedding, and collaboration features.

On the Details tab:

For Option list members, fill out the following fields:

Name
Name of the member, used to create the full member definition name. It can only contain uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, underscores, and dots, and it cannot be changed once created. Rich text member names cannot exceed 18 characters.
Label
Label of the member, used to introduce long, descriptive text.
Data source
Source of the data.
Help text
Text displayed to help users work with this member.

For other member types:

On the Validation rules tab, turn on the Required switch to make the member mandatory.
