Brand Assistant FAQ

The Brand Assistant generates responses using the brand knowledge and brand kits sections - both of which are built from the brand documents uploaded to your brand kit.

Why is my generated content not accurate or on-brand?

If the Assistant isn’t generating accurate or on-brand content, try the following:

  • Check your source documents - the first and most important thing to do is to check your brand documents. Most response issues start here. If responses seem off, it's often due to incomplete or inaccurate brand documents.

    Open your brand kit and on the Knowledge tab, review your uploaded files, ensure they follow our guidelines and best practices, replace any incorrect documents if needed, and republish to update your brand knowledge and repopulate the brand kit sections.

    Warning

    Any brand kit subsection marked as Non AI editable is ignored during document publishing or enrichment.

  • Confirm brand kit selection - ensure that the correct brand kit is selected in the Brand Assistant, and that both the brand kit and its source documents have a Published status.

  • Refine your prompt - add more detail or adjust your prompt to clarify the request. Be specific about tone, style, or content focus to improve the AI’s response.

  • Review brand kit sections - open your brand kit and on the Sections tab, review the sections used by copilots. Expand each section and ensure it includes the correct content. You can edit or refine it as needed, but it's best to check your source documents first for any issues.

  • Check the brand kit section’s intent - each brand kit subsection has an intent that guides the AI how to generate the content in that section. Open a section used by copilots, click Intent, and confirm that the AI instructions align with your requirements. You can edit the intent as needed and then republish, but it's best to check your source documents first for any issues.

  • Provide feedback on AI responses - use or to upvote or downvote responses. While this won't update the results immediately, your feedback helps improve the Brand Assistant's accuracy over time.

  • Contact Sitecore support - if the issue continues after trying the preceding steps, create a support case with details about your issue.
