Configure the Variant operation

Note

To configure the Variants feature, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.

To configure the Variant operation:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage cog icon.

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

  3. On the Pages page, click the target page.

  4. Select an existing Entity operations page component, or create a new one. Ensure custom settings are enabled by turning on the Custom settings enabled switch before clicking the component.

  5. In the Entity operations component, click Add operation to add a Create variant operation.

  6. To add a copy profile, click plus sign, and select a copy profile from the list.

  7. To define the fields used to create the variant, click Add field, and select the desired fields from the list.

  8. If any fields are required for the variant creation, select Required.

  9. Click Save.

Note

When you define a required field and then create a variant, a validation check forces you to choose a value different from the original.
