Set or remove a focal point
To configure Sitecore Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.
A focal point is a specific location in an image that you consider important. It's meant to draw the viewer's attention or highlight a key feature.
In Content Hub, focal points are persistent, and they automatically adjust cropping around themselves to maintain visibility of essential product features, for example, in website banners of varying aspect ratios. You can set a single focal point per image, defined by X and Y coordinates, and this focal point will apply to all new and existing public links for that image asset.
You can also set a focal point when you create or edit a public link for an image asset.

If your Asset details page doesn't already have the Set focal point operation, add it using an Entity operations component.
Set a focal point
To set a focal point:

On the menu bar, click Assets.

On the Assets page, click the image asset you want to set the focal point for.

On the asset details page, click Set focal point. The Set focal point operation is only available for images.

In the Set focal point dialog, click the image or drag the
cursor on the point you want. -
Click Save focal point.
You'll be prompted to refresh the associated public links. Setting a focal point won't affect all public links, custom downloads, or renditions unless you click Update.
Remove a focal point
To remove a focal point:

On the menu bar, click Assets.

On the Assets page, click the image asset you want to remove the focal point from.

On the asset details page, click Set focal point.

Click Remove.
