Customize a page component
For the restricted page component category, superusers can customize the page component. A restricted page components has two icons:

- only administrators can change system settings. Superusers cannot overwrite them.
-
- only superusers can switch between custom settings and system settings for the page component. System settings contain the default settings of the component, while the Custom settings contain the last saved user settings of the component.
In the following example, custom settings are enabled on the entity operations component:
Apply custom settings to a page component
When you enable custom settings and open the page component details page, a label in the top-right corner indicates that this component uses custom settings.
To apply custom settings to a page component:

On the menu bar, click Manage .

On the Manage page, click Pages.

On the Pages page, select the page containing the component you want to customize.

Next to the page component, turn on the Custom settings enabled switch.

To modify the component settings, click More options and select Settings.

In the Settings dialog, on the General tab, modify the following settings:
Field
Description
Title
Select the locale and enter a title for the page component.
Visible
Turn on the switch if you want this component to be visible on the page.
Nested
Turn on the switch if you want to nest this component within another component.
UI visibility
Select from this list whether the component is visible on the interface always, only in edit mode, or only in read mode.
Container
Select from this list whether the component is displayed in a panel or not.
Show panel title
Determines whether the panel title displayed.
Collapsible
Determines whether users can collapse the component to save space on-screen.

Click Save.
Click the page component to open the details page where you can add operations.
Revert or change custom settings
To edit or revert custom settings:

Open the page component detail page for the customized component.

In the upper right corner of the application window, click More actions , and select one of the following:

Load system settings - this option replaces all custom settings with the system settings.

Load last-saved settings - this option reverts all custom settings to the previous version applied to the component.

Restore default settings - this options clears all custom settings.

Click Save to apply your changes.
