To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.
The Share via email operation lets you send an email to recipients that includes an easy-to-use Download button, which downloads a ZIP file of the assets, as well as public links to the assets. This can be useful, for example, when a marketer wants to send assets to vendors, agencies, or internal users. By default, this component is configured for the page components on following pages but you can add the Share via email operation on any page that manipulates assets:

Entity-operation |
On the Share via email (Assets) modal page, the Entity details component is nested under the Tabs component.
To enable the Share via email operation, Sitecore Content Hub creates the following items:
-
The entity definition M.MailConfiguration.
-
The member group MailConfigurationToAsset for M.Asset entities.
-
The members Recipients, Subject, Comment, Expiration, SentOn, Status, Order, Collection, and Mailing Template.
-
The pages Share via email (Collection), Share via email (Download), Share via email (Assets), and Share via email (Asset).
-
The permission ShareViaEmail.
-
The email templates Someone shared a file with you and Someone shared a collection with you.
Each time you share assets using email, Content Hub automatically creates a public link and a download order. You can track the progress of the Email job on theBackground processes page and view information such as the sender ID, recipient's email address, expiration date of the download order.
The number of custom configurations for the share via email feature is limited. This section provides information on the default configurations and the available modifications.
