Entity detail settings

Note

To configure Content Hub, you must either be a superuser or have the necessary permissions granted to you through user group policies.

By default, the page entity definition determines the list of available page member groups (and related visible members). There are several ways to specify the available page members including:

  1. From Page entity (default)
  2. From Entity identifier
  3. From Relation
  4. From Path
  5. From a chosen Definition
  6. From an Event
Note

To display multiple types of entities on the same page, add multiple instances of the Entity details component.

Page entity

To define available page members:

  1. On the menu bar, click Manage .

  2. On the Manage page, click Pages.

  3. On the Pages page, select the details page you want to modify.

  4. On the Layout tab, click the Entity details component to open its details page.

  5. On the component details page, click the Settings tab.

  6. From the Source list, select a source, and define the associated settings.

    Page entity

    SettingDescription
    View modeThe view mode:

    • Default - the member fields are editable.
    • Read-only - the member fields are not editable.
    • Mass edit - only for mass edit of portal pages. For all members, displays a drop-down menu to perform mass-edit operations (none, overwrite, clear, append, remove).
    Show empty valueIf turned on, shows a member field even when its value is empty.
    Show empty boolean valueIf turned on, shows boolean values even when empty.
    Refresh entity after saveIf turned on, refreshes the entity when a member is updated.
    Indicate required fields in read modeIf turned on, marks all required fields with a red asterisk in both read and edit modes. If this setting is turned off, the asterisk is only shown in edit mode.
    Indicate required fields when condition is metIf turned on, hides the red asterisk for required fields unless specific conditions are met. If this setting is turned off, asterisks for required fields are shown regardless of whether the conditions are met.

    Entity identifier

    SettingDescription
    Entity IdentifierID number of the source entity.
    Show empty valueIf turned on, shows a member field even when its value is empty.
    Show empty boolean valuesIf turned on, shows boolean values even when empty.
