Use in relation editor

By default, pages render Search components as search filters. However, you can use a Search component as a filter in another component. In this case, you do not need to render the Search component because you only use its filtering properties.

Important

Enabling the Use in relation editor feature flags the search component as NESTED, letting you use it inside another component.

Before you begin

Configure the use in relation editor

  1. On the Layout tab, click the page component to open its details page.

  2. On the Functionality tab, turn on the Use in relation editor switch.

  3. Define the facets and queries you need. Refer to the nested search component example to see how you can do this.

  4. Click Save.
